Samuel Bright Named to TIAA Board of Directors
NEW YORK, May 9, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — TIAA, a leading provider of secure retirement and results-driven investment solutions for millions of people and thousands of institutions, has named Samuel “Sam” Bright to its board of administration.
TIAA appointed Bright Sam to its board of directors.
Bright joined the Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility and Audit and Investment Committees with effect February 17, 2022.

Previously, Bright was vice president and general manager of Verticals at eBay, the world’s second-largest e-commerce marketplace. Prior to eBay, he advised on merger and acquisition processes at Merrill Lynch. Before eBay and Merrill Lynch, he became the youngest industry analyst at Forrester Research.
Among his many accomplishments, Bright was recognized on Black Enterprise’s 2018 list of Most Influential Blacks in Tech, as one of Savoy Magazine’s 2020 Most Influential Black Executives in American Business and, more recently, in the “Born Digital” category of products that matter. inaugural Global CPO 20 list of the best product managers in the world.
Bright grew up in Peoria, IL, and currently resides in the Bay Area. He attended Taylor University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
