Nippon Telegraph and Telephone: NTT DOCOMO Ventures invests in jinjer Co., Ltd. which offers a cloud back-office service
NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc.
NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Chairman and CEO Yuko Sasahara; hereinafter “NDV”), has invested, through its fund, in jinjer Co. , ltd. (headquarters in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan; CEO Ken Kato; hereinafter “jinjer”), which offers a back-office cloud service, “jinjer”.
Recently, there has been a growing demand from companies and organizations for the review and improvement of business processes, mainly in back-office operations, reflecting factors such as the introduction of remote working as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the promotion of paperless work in connection with work style reforms. This increase in demand is expected to accelerate further, in part due to various legislative revisions such as the revision of the eBooks Preservation Act and the introduction of the billing system.
jinjer’s cloud services, “jinjer”, offer a wide range of support to improve the efficiency of global back-office operations, including personnel and labor management, attendance management, payroll calculation, workflow management, expense reimbursement, electronic contract management, and web conferencing. By integrating data related to back-office operations under “jinjer” services, companies can manage, in a single database system, all operations that occur from the hiring of an employee until his departure upon retirement (registration of employee information, registration of divisions/departments, attendance management, calculation of salaries, year-end adjustment, updating of personnel information, etc.). Also, even when an update occurs due to a change of personnel, etc., it is not necessary to update every department; with a single change in the personnel information database, the update is reflected in all departments. Therefore, businesses can greatly reduce the burden of updates and changes.
The term “digital transformation” is now commonly used, but there is still enough room to improve efficiency and advance business processes for Japanese companies. The jinjer has a corporate culture to provide, on a customer-first basis, deep and close support in finding solutions to these challenges faced by enterprises, and also has strong development capabilities to meet quickly to changes; therefore, NDV has determined that the jinjer is highly valuable. In addition, NDV feels strong empathy for jinjer’s business concept and philosophy regarding IT systems, both of which are people-centric, the strongest element of company growth. For these reasons, NDV decided to invest in Jinjer.
By supporting the cooperation between NTT Group and jinjer, NDV will advance its efforts to create new values.
